Large-Scale DNA Sequencing
Combining first-class equipments and an experienced team, SinoGenoMax has built a large scale, high-throughput ,and automated DNA sequencing platform.
SinoGenoMax has successfully participated in 1% Human Genomo Project. We have completed genome sequencing for several bacteria and carried out a number of sequencing projects for disease-gene identification.We also provide commercial service for the domestic and international customers.
Bioinformatics
Our Bioinformatics platform consists of the Sequencing and Analysis Pipeline (SAP),the Gene Expression Data Analysis System (GEDAS), the SNP Analysis System (SAS),and the genetic Data Analysis System (GDAS).
♦ GEDAS includes databases for gene expression of human fetal liver and hippocampus, patients tissues with hypertension and familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
♦ SAS includes databases of SNP; patient information, and genotype/phenotype.
♦ GDAS includes databases of gene sequences and phenotypes from individuals and pedigrees.
Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms
SinoGenoMax has established a platform for discovery, genotyping and genetic analysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) .The platform includes:
♦ SNP discovery technology based on PCR direct sequencing.
♦ SNP genotyping platform based on SNaPshot and TaqMan technologies.
♦ Linkage Disequilibrium (LD) analysis software package for pair-wise SNP locus.
SinoGenoMax has successfully accomplished the SNP discovery and genotyping of more than 300 human genes related to common diseases, including hepatitis B, cancers, hypertension, coronary heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and type Ⅱdiabetes.
GeneScan
With the support of our large-scale DNA sequencing platform, SinoGenoMax has built a high resolution and accuracy gene scan system. Our system utilizes 400 micro satellite markers which enable us to achieve resolution of 10 CM. By further LD analysis, disease-related gene loci can be accurately localized. SinoGneoMax is capable to apply this technology to genetic mapping, disease gene localization, parental testing, transplant compatibility, forensic test, and species polymorphisms research fields, etc.
With this system, SinoGneoMax has successfully localized several disease-related gene loci, such as susceptible genes for hypertension and cardiovascular diseases, susceptible gene loci for type Ⅱ diabetes, hereditary deafness related genes, hereditary macrostomia and accessory fagus genes, genes of primary erythermalgia, etc.
Gene Expression Profiling
Our gene expression profiling system integrates real time quantitative PCR technology with conventional Northern, Western blotting analysis to analyze gene transcription, translation, and protein modification.
Taking advantage of our clinical/genetic resources and variety of in-house produced biological reagents (RNAs, Northern Blots and Antibodies), SinoGenoMax can rapidly analyze gene expression in adult/fetus and normal/pathological tissues. |
